So, I got a coupon book from Costco in the mail over the weekend. I don’t like coupons, and I rarely ever use them anymore, but I was curious, so I flipped through. Right on the first page, I found a coupon for $60 off of a full-series DVD set, with an image of some of the DVD sets offered. One of the sets pictured was “The X-Files.” Now, I am a huge “X-Files” fan, and I’ve been wanting to buy all nine seasons on DVD for a long time. So, I thought about it, and 17 seconds later, I decided that it was a good deal. All nine seasons, plus the first feature film, on DVD for $179 minus the $60 store coupon…$119? Total score. How can you pass that up? If I bought them season by season from Amazon, I’d spend well over $360, and even the same box set from Amazon runs for $250-ish. Now I just need the 200+ hours to watch them all. OMG. I’m so excited. So maybe coupons are worth it, but let’s not get crazy.
